Settle Water Tower on Settle Carlisle Line

The Water Tower at Settle was recently restored and this galss room paced n the water tank!!. You can watch this channel 4 programme on the Settle Water Tower online if you live in UK for another four weeks --but its my photo of the water tower here, taken in January. The tank held enough water for eight steam engines

Settle - Carlisle line - snow, hoar frost and shopping

Shopping trip to Carlisle.
Althea wanted to go shopping in Carlisle so got some tickets and we arranged to go on Tuesday 7 Feb.

No coffee morning this year. Most money came from selling cards including to Wholesome Bee and to "Soup-a-Carol" and to friends. The price of greetings cards has remained the same since I started. From Dec 31 this year the price has been raised by 50p. So they will cost £2-50 each at Wholesome Bee - who have been selling the cards for me since 2012.
