Settle "Community Munchers" - meals organised by Settle Hub held are Settle Friends Meeting House on Mondays and Thursdays (Thurs vegetarian, Monday more omnivorous/flexitarian). This Monday 26 June I noticed how nice the garden looked - we had had some rain at last to freshen things up. The Quakers have working parties on Mondays to do the garden up. Thank you.
I think these Oxeye daises were planted in the lawn about three years ago , along with Yellow-rattle. Also notice the tree on the right

This tree in the centre. Someone asked me "What kind of tree is that?" |
 |
Well with flowers like this it wasn't a rowan or whitebeam. They had decided it wasn't a mock orange. |

Here is the trunk |

Then we realised it was two trees in one. It is a Crab apple / Apple tree with a garden rose growing into it.

See the rose stems beside the Crab Apple trunk. |
