Day 67b Settle Wildflowers - and - Wildlife at Settle Flowerpot Festival - Red 17 - Scarlet Pimpernel

Later on Sunday 9th August 2020 I walked to Zion Church to look for Scarlet Pimpernel that I had been told told was growing in front of the Church. On the way I met various aspects of wildlife. Can you recognise a hedgehog, a crayfish, a spider and some beatles?

Scarlet Pimpernel - Anagalis arvensis

Beatles - Beetles

It was actually easier finding the Scarlet Pimpernel than this creature - can you see him? With his yellow eye? His name begins with "H"

They seek him here, they seek him there.. Scarlet Pimpernel in its own "Flowerpot" -  a grave compartment at the top right of the lawn in front of Zion Church
