Day 6 - 30 Days Wild 2021 - Horton-in-Ribblesdale - Environment Sunday Event

 Horton in Ribblesdale Church, at the foot of Pen Ghent have arranged to have a "Messy Church" outdoors event to celebrate Environment Sunday -6 June.  The church and Mothers Union also have a tradition of a Teddy Bears picnic

Children's activities - indeed all age activities include

Water painting on the Horton flags paving stones

Planting some wild flowers and two hawthorn saplings

A Wildflower /plant/lichen Quiz

Writing prayers on some sycamore leaves

A search for hidden Teddy bears





Planting Fox and Cubs




Note the good use of old church kneelers


The Ash tree was not giving much shade due to the start of Ash-dieback

We are outside so we can sing!!


Then we had our picnic.
