04 June 2023 - Winskill Stones, Globeflower Wood & Meadow Saxifrage near Turf Hill 30 Days Wild

On the Sunday morning at church some of us had coffee in the garden.. and realised the many containers needed watering (no pictures) .. which we did - but the water buts collecting rainwater from the shed are now getting low.

In the afternoon Sue, Monica and I went for a drive up the hill. We stopped and admired the plants at Winskill Stones - the Meadow and Bulbous Buttercups are very yellow.

We looked at bird's-foot trefoil and thyme

The view towards Lower Winskill

We stopped at Globe Flower Wood ,, the Globeflowers are still out, but losing their petals. The Wood Crane's-bill and Water Avens are out

I noticed this Bay Willow for the first time

The Hawthorn at Gobe-flower Wood is still fresh / just coming out

The Melancholy thistle is just starting to come out.

The hawthorn here is still mostly in bud - just bursting

Meadow Saxifrage - It think it will look good next week too.

A roadside  Wood Crane's-bill - Maybe at its best this week.
